Do or Did You Feel Anxious Today?

Maybe it started the moment you woke up, or it crept in as the day went on. That uneasy feeling, the tension in your body, the restlessness you can’t shake. Anxiety has a way of showing up uninvited, making it hard to focus, breathe, or just feel at ease.

Emotionally and Physically, Anxiety Can Feel Like:

Emotionally

• A constant loop of overthinking and second-guessing
• Restless nights, racing thoughts that won’t stop
• Feeling disconnected, drained, and unmotivated
• Small tasks feeling overwhelming and unmanageable
• A deep sense of worry, fear, or dread

Physically

• A racing heart, tight chest, or shortness of breath
• Headaches, muscle tension, or stomach issues
• Feeling lightheaded, dizzy, or shaky
• Restlessness, irritability, or difficulty concentrating
• Constant fatigue, even after sleep

Emotional symptoms of anxiety

Did you know that 1 in 4 Canadians will experience an anxiety disorder in their lifetime?

And yet, so many suffer in silence, believing they just have to "deal with it." 😰

Anxiety doesn’t just appear out of nowhere—it often has deep roots. It can stem from past trauma, stress, perfectionism, relationship struggles, or even genetics.

Without help, it can take over your life, leaving you feeling stuck, unmotivated, and disconnected from the things that once brought you joy.

In-person anxiety therapy in Burlington vs online therapy in Ontario

Both formats are equally effective for anxiety treatment. The right choice depends on your lifestyle, comfort level, and what helps you feel most at ease.

In-person anxiety therapy — Burlington clinic

Our Burlington clinic is located at 3425 Harvester Rd, Unit 213, Burlington, ON L7N 3N1 — easily accessible from Oakville, Hamilton, and Milton.

In-person sessions are ideal if you prefer face-to-face connection, benefit from a dedicated space away from home for therapy, or find it easier to be present without home distractions. Many clients find the ritual of coming to a physical space helps them mentally prepare for the work of therapy.

Available for: individuals, couples, families, children (6+), and teens.

Online anxiety therapy — all of Ontario

Our online sessions run over secure, PHIPA and HIPAA-compliant video or phone — from anywhere in Ontario. No commute, no waiting room, total privacy.

Online therapy is ideal if you have a busy schedule, live outside Burlington, experience social anxiety that makes leaving home difficult, or simply prefer the comfort of your own space. Research consistently shows online therapy produces outcomes equal to in-person for anxiety disorders.

Available province-wide: Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton, Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, and all of Ontario.

Can I switch between in-person and online?

Yes. Many of our clients mix both formats depending on the week. Your therapist works with your schedule and preferences — therapy on your terms is one of our core commitments.

Anxiety therapy pricing in Burlington

Transparent, affordable pricing with no hidden fees and no HST.

Sessions start at $80 for 50 minutes with sliding scale options available based on your financial situation. We believe cost should never be a barrier to getting support for anxiety.

  • Individual anxiety therapy — from $80 per 50-minute session

  • Couples anxiety therapy (when anxiety affects your relationship) — from $160

  • Family therapy for anxiety — from $100

  • Free 15–30 minute discovery call — always included, no obligation

All receipts include your therapist's Ontario registration number, making them eligible for extended health benefit reimbursement. Most employer benefit plans cover registered psychotherapy.

Sessions may also be claimed as medical expenses on your personal income tax return.

Not sure if your insurance covers it? We recommend calling your provider before your first session and asking: "Does my plan cover a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW)?"

We Are Here to Listen

Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)

Constant worry that's hard to control, affecting work, relationships, and daily life. You may feel restless, irritable, or exhausted from overthinking. Our therapists use CBT and mindfulness to help you break the worry cycle and build lasting calm.

Panic attacks and panic disorder

Sudden surges of intense fear, racing heart, chest tightness, dizziness, or a sense of losing control. Panic attacks can feel terrifying — even when there's no real danger. Therapy helps you understand what triggers them and gives you tools to reduce their frequency and intensity.

Social anxiety

Fear of being judged, embarrassed, or rejected in social situations — at work, in groups, or in everyday interactions. Social anxiety can lead to avoidance that shrinks your world over time. We help you rebuild confidence and engage with others on your own terms.

Health anxiety

Persistent worry about having a serious illness, misinterpreting normal body sensations as symptoms of disease. Health anxiety is exhausting and can lead to compulsive checking or avoidance of medical information. Therapy helps you develop a healthier relationship with uncertainty.

Trauma-related anxiety and PTSD

Anxiety rooted in past traumatic experiences — accidents, loss, abuse, or overwhelming life events. Symptoms include hypervigilance, flashbacks, emotional numbness, and difficulty feeling safe. Our trauma-informed therapists create a safe, paced environment for healing.

Work and burnout anxiety

Anxiety driven by workplace pressure, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, or chronic overwork. Burnout anxiety often appears as exhaustion paired with inability to switch off. Therapy helps you identify unsustainable patterns and rebuild healthy boundaries at work.

Anxiety in children and teens

Children as young as 6 and teenagers can experience anxiety that affects school performance, friendships, and family relationships. Signs include school refusal, separation anxiety, excessive worry, irritability, and sleep problems. Justine Maurice and Lydia Kellar specialize in child and youth anxiety using play-based, trauma-informed approaches.

Does insurance cover anxiety therapy in Ontario?

Most extended health benefit plans in Ontario cover registered psychotherapy and social work services.

Anytime Anywhere Therapy's receipts include each therapist's Ontario registration number — everything your insurance provider needs to process reimbursement.

Before your first session, call your benefits provider and ask: "Do I have coverage for a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW)?" Most Sun Life, Manulife, Great-West Life, Blue Cross, and Green Shield plans include this coverage.

If your plan does not cover therapy, keep your receipts. Psychotherapy expenses are eligible as medical expenses when filing your personal income tax return in Canada. OHIP does not cover registered psychotherapist sessions.

However, OHIP-funded options exist through your family doctor or community mental health centres if cost is a significant barrier. No HST is charged on any of our sessions.

    • All fees are redeemed upfront at the time of booking.

  • Yes, we do.

All of our therapists are registered with recognized regulatory bodies, such as the CRPO (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario), which are recognized by insurance companies. Our receipts include the therapist's registration number, which you can use to receive reimbursement from your insurer. However, not all insurance benefit programs cover therapy expenses. We recommend contacting your insurance provider prior to your session to confirm if services provided by a registered psychotherapist are covered and eligible for reimbursement.

After your session, you'll receive a receipt with all the necessary details to submit to your insurer. If you're not reimbursed, keep your receipts, as therapy expenses can be claimed as medical expenses for tax deductions when filing your personal income taxes.
